Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Pain and Emotion

Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) pain is strongly connected to the feeling of resentment. The self imposed belief that you have to do something or are responsible for something whether you want to or not. As such it is also tied to blame. Blaming others for making you act or feel a certain way and then criticizing yourself for not acting as you would like to instead of how you feel you are expected to.

A sense of obligation, a restriction of self and self-expression. This connection to self-expression has TMJ tied strongly to the Solar Plexus.

TMJ acts like a sliding hinge connecting your jawbone to your jaw. Would you love to just for once come "unhinged"? Are you holding things together so tightly, out of responsibility, obligation, expectation, stability of maintaining structure for everyone and everything around you?

Resentment is the tension that develops from your spirit wanting to be free of the self-imposed restriction of holding things together under obligation.

TMJ Pain is your body telling you it's time to unhinge, time to let go, time to stop resenting yourself and others for locking yourself down. Nurture your Solar Plexus.
